Laziness means there’s not enough interest/pleasure in said activity, therefore your emotions will conserve your energy and not waste it there. It can also be a masked symptom of overwhelm – which is still stemming from emotions.
Regarding your second question, it seems like a conflict between parts/emotions. One wants to do something good for you, the other doesn’t. As in all part polarizations, the key is understanding what each needs and bringing them together as part of the same team which they in fact are. Find out what each part truly needs that is not being met – which is why they’re resisting doing that thing – and find a better way to meet it. Then that part will come onboard as well, and allow and even motivate you to do that thing.
It’s always about getting emotions onboard, which sometimes requires us to understand and validate why they’re not first. And in some occasions, when we do that we might realize that doing that is not actually good for us.
Let me know if this makes sense and if you wish to continue the discussion!
